Super Colour Brainfloat

I finally started recreating the Tavicat site. Expect to see the whole thing revamped and reflopped by August 15. I stab at thee with my Cocteau Twins album cover inspired colours. Mmyep.

So Much Angry

Tavisha says I drink like I'm angry.

2006_05_283

But I say it was the painting behind me that drove me to drink in the first place.

Yay for to be Home?

Drivinghome
So they drove us to the airport in that white metal sausage again.

Over_calif_15

And while in the air no one air burst a nuclear warhead 300 miles over the central US causing an electromagnetic pulse, frying all the circuitry on our aircraft and dropping us like a brick of gouda into an orphanage where the kids all wonder why their 30 inch HDTV suddenly quit while watching Full House on Cartoon Network. Yay.

Home

Yay. Yay for home. Yay.

Now enjoy some of Tavisha's ebay auctions while I get depressed reading Matt High's post on the California housing market.

Anime Central Evening Three

Acen023_1
So ends ACen 2006. I'm sure whatever is to replace its spot at the convention center will have an even more exciting cosplay.

Homemade Beebo and giant GIR Beebo!

Acen025a

We are sometimes asked to sign things that have little to do with our published work. This weekend I signed an arm, a pack of cigarettes for a seventeen year old girl, a wet towel, and underwear (laundered, I hope).

Acen026

I have never before been in a stretch limo. So it only seems natural that my first time should be a ride to Superdawg.

Anime Central Evening Two

Acen013
Studio Tavicat panel. Tavisha talks about her early childhood, Little Tokyo in Los Angeles when she was a kid, and life on a Japanese American strawberry farm. I talk about color and maybe a little bit of colour too.

Acen014
A manga panel for children, which we taught along side Tomoko Taniguchi (center, next to Tavisha).

Acen017
A pack O' ZIMmies.

Acen018
A beautiful and earthy color palette.

Acen019
Great Megan coustume!

Acen020
GIR Girl.

Acen021
Super pretty detail!

Acen022
Commie Lollie!

There was also Jan Scott-Frazier's Voices for Peace panel and concert, Carl Horn's party, and Greg Ayres spinning at the dance, but we passed out in our room and missed all of it. I blame lack of caffeine and a super squishy bed, from which emanated a heavenly light, and angels sang a lullaby until the stink of the elevator (what Bruce Lewis calls "the Brown Hammer") was far and forever gone. Amen.
